Q: What type of retirement community is Gulf Coast Village?
A: Gulf Coast Village is a licensed Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). As such, Gulf Coast Village provides a wide range of care for your short and long term health care needs. With Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL) and a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) available on campus, you are assured priority access to on-site health care, which is operated by people you know and trust. What's more you will receive this high-quality care at discounted rates as a resident.
Q: How long has Gulf Coast Village been in existence?
A: Gulf Coast Village was founded in 1989. It has been operational in the same location and continues to be the only CCRC in Cape Coral Florida.
Q: What does it cost to become part of the community?
A: Residents pay a one-time entrance fee based upon the size of your residence and the refund plan that is chosen. Should you decide to leave the community, the refund that is due to you or your family will be returned. A monthly service fee will be determined based upon the size of the residence and the number of occupants. It covers one meal a day, all utilities except phone, bi-weekly housekeeping, security, interior and exterior maintenance, complimentary scheduled transportation, social, recreational and wellness programs.
Q: Can I afford this?
A: You may be surprised at just how affordable living at Gulf Coast Village is! As each situation is unique, our Senior Living Counselors will work with you to do an affordability evaluation. All residents are financially qualified prior to signing a contract; so that you can be comfortable knowing that you have made a good estate planning decision.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Absolutely! Small dogs and cats are welcomed as a part of your family.
Q: Moving is so stressful- do you offer help?
A: Gulf Coast Village has a Personalized Move-In Service designed to help. We can recommend local realtors, consignment shops, estate auctioneers, movers and packers. In addition we pay up to $1500 of your moving expenses.
